In addition to programming and architecting solutions you will be comfortable and authoritative when assisting with the preparation of sales tender responses, documenting business requirements and specifying and implementing technical solutions.
Essential requirements
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in software development
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Lead Analyst/Developer
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience of web-development or web-content management
• Experience of the complete development lifecycle
• Microsoft .NET Framework v1.1/v2.0 (v3.5 and 4.0 exposure also helpful), C# (although experienced VB.NET developers will also be considered), SQL Server (2005/2008)
• SOLID OO principles, patterns and practices
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Other requirements
• ASP.NET (master pages, user & custom controls, HTTP modules & handlers)
• WCF Services and SOAP/RESTful web services
• Excellent knowledge of software configuration management (source control principles, automated builds, CI)
• Excellent knowledge of unit testing principles and supporting tools and frameworks
• Javascript, CSS and XHTML experience although detailed knowledge not expected
• Ability to work within small multi-skilled teams and to communicate technical aspects in a clear manner
• Track record of implementing projects on time and to budget
• Ability to empathise with clients
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Advantageous: Experience of having worked for a web development agency
• Advantageous: recent Microsoft developer certifications (MCTS, MCPD)
