Ian Mercer is a Director of North West Turf, a fast growing family business that specialises in selling high quality turf.

The Mercer family came from a farming background but in 1989 Ian and his brother Andrew Mercer decided to divert their business into grass turf. Since then they have had to increase their turf nursery by 1750% to meet demand.

Ian has been the driving force in moving forward the company in terms of their internet presence and online sales & marketing strategy. In 2002 Ian began working with Mando Group to develop an ecommerce website, Online Turf, to sell their turf products through the World Wide Web. The company originally focussed on the North West of England but now they deliver grass turf supplies and associated products across the whole of the UK.
