New adventure

So, I’m leaving to have a baby who is due to arrive in about two weeks. It will be great to have some time to get prepared and of course put my feet up, but it also means that the arrival of the little one is imminent!

In the past few years I have had a few adventures including setting up a new business and working in Thailand and returning to Mando Group – but this adventure of parenthood is both the most unknown and exciting.

I have really enjoyed my time at Mando Group, they are a great team of people, I will miss working in such a creative and engaging environment.

Naked Tree

Earlier this week I carefully put up a Christmas tree in the Mando studio and knowing what a creative bunch they are I set the team a challenge to make decorations for the naked tree.

Some people have embraced the task but the tree is still looking a little bare and I’m not sure about the post–it note based decorations! I will give it a few days to see what they can do.

A new gift every day - Countdown 08

Wireless Liverpool?

We are all about to benefit from becoming one of six BT Wireless Cities, with access to BT Openzone across Liverpool city centre. But what does this actually mean?

From what I understand*, it means, I will be able to connect my laptop or PDA to a high speed wireless BT connection in Liverpool city centre...if I am happy to pay BT for it.

So, who will this benefit? I’m finding it very difficult to work that out – the mobile worker with no office base perhaps?

A launch event is being held over the next few days at Williamson Square, maybe some of my sceptical questions will be answered and I will be made aware of the merits of this initiative.

However, with a one hour BT Openzone voucher costing £6.00, I would rather pay for a great cup of tea at my favourite city centre café which provides free Wi-fi access.

*with very limited techy knowledge and the little information I could find about wireless cities.

The Winners in Barcelona

We have returned from a fun 24 hours in Barcelona celebrating our 10th Birthday. We experienced some of the sights, sampled the delicious food, queued for hours to get on the cable car (not highly recommended!) and held our annual staff awards.
